Electronic Benefits Centers

UPO connects you to your EBT Benefits easier.

Electronic Benefit Transfer Card (EBT) is an electronic system that provides
easy access to government benefits using an automated card system. DC residents who are prequalified by the DC Department of Human Services can electronically receive TANF and/or SNAP benefits on their EBT card. EBT card
benefits include:

(SNAP) Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program that allows low-income
residents to only purchase food from the grocery store or farmer markets that
accept the SNAP/EBT card.

(TANF) Temporary Assistance for Needy Families provides cash benefits
allowing recipients to use the card for purchases and cash withdrawals.

The electronic benefit system is safer and more secure than carrying cash or
checks; allows for faster payments; and is convenient and easy to use.

EBT cards are distributed at our Anacostia and H Street centers Monday
through Friday beginning at 8:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Customers must provide proof of Washington, DC residency, proof of income,
and must meet the CSBG poverty guidelines.

For more information contact H Street EBT Manager Sherolyn Holmes at (202) 543-6680 or Anacostia EBT Manager Ms. Demetria Knight at (202) 610-5859

Our EBT center locations are H Street Service Center at 611 H Street NE, Washington, DC 20002 and Anacostia Community Service Center at 1649 Good Hope Road SE Washington, DC 20020.
